0 companies took US
government money last week.
Heard of any of them?

We track SBIR awards, federal contracts and venture rounds (SEC Form D), then name the companies that just took money — usually weeks before anyone writes about them. Every figure traces back to a primary record.

03 / What arrives

Not an essay.
A list of names.

These are the actual published briefs, not mockups. You can read one right now without signing up.

  • 01Small companies landing their first SBIR or STTR award
  • 02Companies reaching Phase III — follow-on funding from outside the SBIR budget
  • 03Issuers with an exempt offering or sale on record (SEC Form D)
  • 04Companies taking both government and venture money
  • 05A link to the government or SEC record on every line

05 / Why this isn't in your usual tools

PitchBook is reading
a different ledger.

01Venture databases index rounds

A government award is not a round, so it never enters them. The same company sits in a ledger they do not read.

02Nobody writes up a $1.5M Phase II

Coverage follows large rounds and famous names. The award is public — it is simply never read out loud.

03The government record appears the same week

It lands in the transaction record the week the money is obligated. There is no article to wait for.

04Phase III is revenue, not funding

It means the government bought the product. No amount of funding data will ever tell you that.

Check us

Every figure links to its source — a USAspending transaction record for government awards, a Form D filed with the SEC for venture rounds. You do not have to trust us: open one and check the number yourself.

08 / Who publishes this

Before you ask —
here is what it cannot do.

Where does the data come from?
US federal contract and grant transactions (USAspending.gov) and SEC filings (Form D). Every figure links straight back to the record it came from.
Does a person check these rows?
No. This is collected automatically from public records; no person reads the rows or adds interpretation. In exchange, every figure links back to the record it came from — check the source rather than trusting us. See the confidence tiers
Does this cover every round?
No. We see US government outlays and Form D filings — nothing else. Rounds with no Form D, private transactions, and non-US capital are absent. This is not coverage; it is speed on what the public record shows.
What do I get by paying?
The underlying data is identical. Mandate Pilot ($500/month) delivers it already filtered to your criteria — the difference is not doing that filtering yourself every week. Pricing and cancellation
How do I stop?
Every email carries an unsubscribe link. If you also want the underlying record deleted, write to us and we will delete it and confirm. Privacy Policy
